- If you schedule the personal shopping service, you will first schedule the call so we can examine your needs thoroughly. Follow up correspondence throughout the shopping process is offered.
No. To remain your advocate and independent from the jewelry sale, I am paid only by you, only by time. This means I receive no commission, kick-back, bonus, thank-you, or any other kind of incentive from any retailer. I build good relationships with retailers so they will give my clients competitive pricing, and in return, my clients are happy with their purchase and experience.
To remain in service only to the client, I am paid only by time. I do not make commissions, and I do not make a percentage of the value of an item. I am paid the same amount by you whether you are spending $500 or $500,000. A 15-minute phone/video consultation is $30, this includes 15 minutes post-call for me to complete any research before emailing you debrief. A 30-minute phone/video consultation is $50, this includes 30 minutes post-call for me to complete any research before emailing you debrief. In-person purchase advising is $150 per hour with one hour minimum, this includes a phone/video call to organize our plan. The custom personal shopping service begins at $300; A complete proposal is offered after a phone/video conference.
Either one. I have worked hard in the last several years to build harmonious relationships with retailers in South Florida. Honest retailers love my service and want me to bring my clients in, so they offer competitive pricing to them. I do know of retailers that do not operate honestly and ethically, and I will not accompany a client to one of these stores. If you have any stores in mind, or a store where you feel comfortable, I would be happy to accompany you there. I can also make suggestions in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Naples areas.
It depends how much you are spending on jewelry, but I can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars. Retailers would love for me to bring all my clients to their stores, so they offer them competitive pricing in the hopes of achieving return business. A jewelry store is an inventory business, and it is constantly trying to sell certain types of items, regardless of what a client really wants. With my technical knowledge, I can find the diamond or jewelry piece you love that is the absolute best value, and you may spend less and get something you are extremely happy with – instead of just what the salesperson wanted to sell. If I feel that there is excessive markup, or pricing does not line up with my real-time pricing data lists, I will negotiate on your behalf. For clients spending between $20,000 and $30,000, I save them an average of $4,000. Depending on the purchase price of the jewelry, I can save you between 15% and 35%.
I travel within Fort Lauderdale, as well as to the Miami, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and Naples areas.
- Apart from discussing thoroughly and acting as a sound board, I clarify exactly what your perfect jewelry piece is. I then assist you in finding it, and I save you money on its purchase.
- An accredited gemologist appraiser can keep you safe from fraud and deception. Like any kind of business, there are individuals eager to take advantage of a lack of technical knowledge and steal from people. Some common examples of this are:
- Selling you a diamond as a color/cut/clarity/carat that it is not
- Selling you a diamond or colored stone, and then switching it when it’s set
- Intentionally describing a gemstone or metal misleadingly
- Lying about the type of gold a piece is made with
- Setting colored stones with colored metal underneath to enhance the apparent color
- Setting gemstones in a poor way which could lead to easily losing them (and having to pay to replace them)
- Switching out calibrated diamonds with cubic zirconia and other imitations
- Overcharging for any type of gemstone or jewelry item
